Glee Casting Call Contest Rules

Who Can Enter

1. (i) “In the event production of the GLEE Casting Call is cancelled or postponed, related prizing may be cancelled without substitution or compensation therefor”;

(ii) Entrants must be between 16-26 years old as of the submission deadline of April 19, 2010; and

(iii) “Audition opportunities are non-transferable and cannot be sold to or used by any person(s) other than the winner.”

2. Employees of Local TV LLC, Community Television of Missouri (KTVI-TV and KPLR-TV), and their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. Fox Broadcasting Company, News Corporation, Fox Digital Media, Twentieth Century Fox Television, MySpace, Inc., GLEE show sponsors, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees of each.*

How to Enter

3. No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per contestant or e-mail address.

To enter, access the on-line contest entry form on the FOX 2 web site at www.fox2now.com and follow all instructions to complete the on-line contest entry form including first and last name, address, phone number and date of birth. In 100 words or less, describe why you have the singing and dancing experience to be selected for the FOX 2 Glee Casting Call. No mechanically addressed, reproduced or completed entries will be accepted. In the event of a dispute, Sponsor will deem each on-line entry to have been submitted by the holder of the e-mail account from which it was sent.

Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner or other contest information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the Glee Contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of KTVI FOX 2 and will not be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to invalidate all website entries if the web site becomes technically corrupted.

The contest starts on Monday, March 22, 2010, and all entries must be received by KTVI FOX 2 by noon on Friday, April 2, 2010.

4. On or around Monday, April 5, 2010, three (3) semi-finalists will be selected from all eligible entries by FOX 2 judges. The judges will base their decision on contestant’s ability to communicate their singing and dancing experience. The decision of the judges is final as to all matters, including the extent to which the criteria are met.

The three semi-finalists will be required to appear live for an official Glee Casting Call performance on FOX 2 News on Friday, April 9, 2010 between 7am – 10am and sing one song live on television as an official Casting Call audition recording. If semi-finalists of Glee Casting Call is less than 18 years of age he or she must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Finalists are required to sing a capella only from a list of pre-selected songs approved by FOX and Glee. The song list is: And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going, You Can’t Always Get What You Want, Lean On Me, Sweet Caroline or Rehab.

Following the live performance audition, videos of the finalist’s performances will be posted at www.fox2now.com and viewers will be encouraged to vote for their favorite video audition. Voting will begin Friday, April 9th around 10:00am and continue through Sunday, April 11th around 8:00pm. The grand prize winner will be determined by the video audition that receives the most votes. Viewers may vote as often as they wish.

All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Local TV LLC, Fox Television Stations Inc. and will not be acknowledged or returned.

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of KTVI FOX 2, which shall be final and binding.

Your presence during the audition, and the presence of your friends, family members, and anyone else accompanying you, constitutes your and their consent and agreement to the recording and use of your and their performance, appearance, name, voice, singing voice, likeness and any musical or sound effects produced by you and/or them for use in connection with any television program, motion picture, wireless/mobile device, or the Internet for all purposes (including advertising, marketing, promotion, merchandising and the exploitation of any and all ancillary and subsidiary rights), as the same may be edited, in all media now known or hereafter created, throughout the universe, in perpetuity for no compensation, unless otherwise required by law. IF YOU AND/OR YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY MEMBERS, OR ANYONE ELSE ACCOMPANYING YOU TO THE AUDITION, DO NOT WISH TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED, OR DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE AUDITIONS AND DO NOT ENTER THE VENUE WHERE THE AUDITIONS ARE TAKING PLACE. Your and/or their attendance at the audition event will be conclusively deemed to be a waiver of any and all claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, etc. All federal, state and local laws apply.

The Prize

5. The Glee Casting Call grand prize winner will receive (i) their taped audition will be seen by Glee producers and prizing from Sponsors to be determined. Approximate value of the prize package is $250. In the event production of Glee is cancelled or postponed, the audition portion of the prizing may be cancelled without substitution or compensation. Other restrictions may apply.

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of KTVI FOX 2, which shall be final and binding.

The grand prize winner will be notified on or around Tuesday, April 13, 2010. If the winner does not timely return the affidavit of eligibility (or if the winners cannot be notified by phone after 3 attempts), the prize package will be awarded to an alternate winner, who will be selected the second highest total number of votes.

Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winners. The winners cannot assign or transfer prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.

Each winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prize as set forth in these rules.

Odds of Winning; Miscellaneous

Odds of becoming a semi-finalist depend on the number of entries received (web site). Odds of winning Grand Prize depend upon the total number of viewers who vote.

For the name of the prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Fox 2, Glee Casting Call 2250 Ball Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146 by April 30, 2010.

This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation , in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules. KTVI FOX 2 and our sponsors accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize awarded hereunder.

By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (c) to Sponsor’s use of participant’s personal information as described in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy located at www.fox2now.com.
