FOX 2’s “Make Mom My Idol” Giveaway
Who Can Enter
1.Entrants must be Missouri or Illinois residents who are 13 years of age or older and live within a 45 mile radius of the KTVI FOX 2 television facilities. All e-mail entries must have lawful access to the Internet with a valid e-mail address.
2.Employees of Community Television of Missouri LLC, KTVI-TV, KPLR-TV, Rothman Furniture, Southwest Airlines, Hilton Hotels, and Lodging Hospitality Management (collectively, “Sponsor”), and their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.
How To Enter
3.No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Only one entry per person /household/e-mail address. The giveaway begins when posted on March 15, 2010, and all entries must be received by noon CST on May 3rd, 2010.
4.To enter describe in 50 words or less why your mom should win the “Make Mom My Idol” contest. (i) Access the on-line contest entry form on the FOX 2 web site at www.fox2now.com and follow all instructions to complete the on-line contest entry form or (ii) mail your entry and letter to Make Mom My Idol Contest; c/o FOX 2; 2250 Ball Drive; St. Louis, MO 63146. Eligible entries must include your first and last name, home address, phone number and birthdate. No mechanically addressed, reproduced, or completed entries will be accepted. In the event of a dispute, Sponsor will deem each e-mail entry to have been submitted by the holder of the e-mail account from which it was sent. All submissions must be original and conform to Sponsor’s then-current standards and practices and policies as established or determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, submissions may not contain profanity or references to violence, or demean any gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. Entrants must own the copyright to, or otherwise have all necessary rights in, their entry materials. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or remove any entry based on a claim or copyright infringement. Entry constitutes an unlimited perpetual license to Sponsor to use any entry materials, including , but not limited to, the right to copy, distribute, publicly perform and display the entry materials on its websites, television stations and in any and all media whether now known or hereinafter invented. Entry constitutes an assignment to Sponsor of all intellectual property rights in the entry materials, if any. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, likenesses, and photographs for broadcast, online posting, or in any other media, and/or any advertising and publicity without additional compensation.
5.Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other giveaway information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the giveaway or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE GIVEAWAY IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the giveaway if it becomes technically corrupted.
One winner will be selected by random drawing from among valid entries on or about May 7th, 2010.
The Prize(s)
6.One (1) grand prize winner will receive a prize package including: Two (2) tickets to the American Idol Tuesday Night finale show on May 25, 2010 in Hollywood, CA provided by FOX Network, Two (2) tickets to the American Idol Wednesday Night finale show on May 26, 2010 in Hollywood, CA provided by FOX Network, two (2) coach class, roundtrip Southwest Airlines tickets from St. Louis to Los Angeles on May 24-27, 2010, double-occupancy hotel accommodations room for two people (one room) for three (3) nights, Five hundred dollars ($500.00) spending cash provided by Rothman Furniture.
The prize package is valued at $2,367.00.
If the grand prize winner cannot travel on dates specified by Contest Entities, the winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected. All other costs not specifically stated herein, including, but not limited to, taxes, meals, tips and ground transportation, are the responsibility of the winner. Taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Winner and travel companion must travel on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents including passports. In addition, all persons traveling on the trip must be 18 years of age or over, unless a traveler under 18 is accompanied by at least one adult who is the parent or legal guardian of the minor. Winner and travel companion are responsible for obtaining travel insurance (and all other forms of insurance) where applicable, at their option, and hereby acknowledge that the Contest Entities have not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance. Winner and travel companion must sign a Publicity, Liability Waiver and Travel Release form prior to traveling. If a selected event is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, or for any reason beyond the control of the Contest Entities, the Contest Entities’ sole responsibility to a Winner will be to award the remaining available portion of the prize and no substitution will be provided for unawarded portion of prize. Tickets are subject to terms and conditions as specified by issuer. Seat locations to be determined by Contest Entities. Contest Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to winner and/or guest if he/she engages in a destructive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the concert.
7.The winner will be announced on air as well as by phone on May 7th, 2010. Winner and travel companion must be able to travel May 24 – 27, 2010. Prize cannot be transferred or changed. Winner and travel companion will be required to complete, sign and return a Certification of Eligibility and Release within 24 hours of the date of notification or they will be disqualified. All persons traveling on the trip must be 18 years of age or over, unless a traveler under 18 is accompanied by at least one adult who is the parent or legal guardian of the minor. If a winner cannot be reached, or if a winner does not return the Certification of Eligibility and Release within the designated time period, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner selected by random drawing. If an alternate winner does not timely return the affidavit of eligibility, the prize will not be awarded.
8.Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winner. The winner cannot assign or transfer prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
9.The winner is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the prizes set forth in these rules.
10.Only one prize will be awarded per household. Individuals are eligible to win only one prize within any 30-day period, regardless of the number of giveaways entered, from Community Television of Missouri LLC (KTVI-TV and KPLR-TV). Winner must claim the prize by May 12, 2010 or the prize will be forfeited.

11.Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
These giveaway rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours (between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) at KTVI FOX 2, Make Mom My Idol, 2250 Ball Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146 through May 3rd, 2010.
12.For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope after May 7th, 2010 to: KTVI FOX 2, Make Mom My Idol, 2250 Ball Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146.
13.This giveaway is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules. Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or administration of the giveaway, or in the announcement of the prize.
14.By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Sponsor, Community Television of Missouri LLC, KTVI FOX 2, FOX Broadcasting Company, News America, Inc., FOX Interactive Media, Fremantle Media North America, Inc., American Idol Productions, Inc., 19 TV Limited, 19 Merchandising Ltd., CKX, Inc., Rothman Furniture, Southwest Airlines, Hilton Hotels, Lodging Hospitality Management, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees of each from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (c) to Sponsor’s use of participant’s personal information as described in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy located at www.fox2now.com.
