FOX 2’s Biggest Idol Fan Contest
Who Can Enter
1.Entrants must be Missouri or Illinois residents who are 18 years of age or older and live within a 45 mile radius of the KTVI FOX 2 television facilities. All e-mail entries must have lawful access to the Internet with a valid e-mail address.
2. Employees of Community Television of Missouri LLC, Local TV, LLC, KTVI-TV, KPLR-TV, Union Furniture, Penn Station (collectively, “Sponsor”) and their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.
How to Enter
3. No purchase is necessary to enter. Limit one entry per person per email address. In the event of a dispute, Sponsor will deem each entry to have been submitted by the holder of the e-mail account from which it was sent.
4. To enter, access the on-line contest entry form on the FOX 2 web site at www.fox2now.com and follow all instructions to complete the on-line contest entry form. In addition to first and last name, address, telephone number, birthday, provide in 50 words or less a description of your party and why you are FOX 2’s Biggest Idol Fan. No mechanically addressed, reproduced, or completed entries will be accepted. In the event of a dispute regarding e-mail entries, Sponsor will deem each e-mail entry to have been submitted by the holder of the e-mail account from which it was sent.
5. Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner or other contest information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the FOX 2’s Biggest Idol Fan Contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of KTVI FOX 2 and will not be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right, at its option, to cancel the contest or to select the winner by alternate means if the contest becomes technically or otherwise corrupted.
6. The contest starts on March 22nd, 2010, and all entries must be received by KTVI Fox 2 by noon on May 17th, 2010. The winner will be selected by random drawing from among valid entries and will be notified by phone or email. Winner drawn on March 29, 2010 for March 31st party; on April 12th for April 14th party, on April 26th for April 28th party, on May 3rd for May 5th party, on May 10th for May 12th party, on May 17th for May 19th party. Party dates are subject to change due to breaking news.
The Prize
7. One grand prize winner will be selected for each party. The winners will receive a prize package consisting of food from Penn Station for up to 20 guests valued at up to $200, a $100 gift certificate from Union Furniture, and a FOX 2 personality to host the event, with grand prize winner and their guests appearing on FOX 2 News during the 9:00 p.m. hour. Parties will be held on March 31st, April 14th, April 28th, May 5th, May 12th and May 19th. Party dates are subject to change due to breaking news. Winner must provide access to their home for the date they are selected.
8. The winner will be notified by phone or email. The winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within two days of notification. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winner’s name, hometown, likeness and photographs for online posting, and/or advertising and publicity without additional compensation. If the winner cannot be notified by phone or e-mail after three attempts, the prize package will be awarded to an alternate winner, who will be selected by random drawing.
9. The prize is not transferable for cash by the winner. No substitution, transfer or assignment of prizes by the winner is allowed. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
10. The winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prize as set forth in these rules.
11. Individuals are eligible to win only one prize within any 30-day period, regardless of the number of giveaways entered, from Community Television of Missouri LLC (KTVI-TV and KPLR-TV).
Odds of Winning; Miscellaneous
12. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours (between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.) at KTVI Fox 2, 2250 Ball Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146 and at www.fox2now.com through May 17th, 2010.
13. For the name of the prize winner, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: KTVI FOX ‘s Biggest Idol Fan Contest, 2250 Ball Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146 after May 17th .
14. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules. Sponsor is not responsible or liable for any connection with any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
15. By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (c) to Sponsor’s use of participant’s personal information as described in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy located at www.fox2now.com. By entering, you hereby grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to feature the photographs on Sponsor’s website(s) and/or television programs, including, without limitation, the right to reproduce, broadcast, download, cache, display, and publicly perform the photographs.
